Dancing with Sean

Dancing with Sean

This is apparently a great controversy in many people’s lives.

Sean Spicer is still on DWTS.

Dancing with the Stars is a competition. Producers invite so called “stars”, or people related to “stars”, or people who want to be stars, or people who once were stars and have fallen to a reality dance competition. In the spirit of the show, the PRODUCERS INVITE people on the show, who do not, dance to work with a PROFESSIONAL dancer and improve over time. Well, I know and love many Hollywood stars. And many have been in acting and dance classes while growing up. So, I would not consider them to be novices. But it is what it is.

Enter Sean Spicer.

Sean who? Sean is a well-known conservative that worked for the White House. Yes, for TRUMP. Sean was INVITED to be on the show and accepted the challenge. I am sure that Sean has watched DWTS and assumed that he would be competing against the other contestants.

He is not.

Sean is competing against his competitors, the judges, the announcers, and the whole dark Hollywood leftist collaboration. Dancing with the stars encourages the dancer’s fans to text and log in online to vote. So, we do.

Unexpectedly, Sean has more fans than DWTS every IMAGINED. And they are butthurt that he keeps winning. Sean may not be polished and sophisticated, but he has SPIRIT and HEART and BALLS OF STEEL.

So, EVERY MONDAY we tune in watch Sean
and yes, we ALWAYS VOTE.

You Can vote for Sean too! VOTE Between 8-9:00 est
Set a reminder on your clock! 😊
You can LEGALLY VOTE 10 times via text AND 10 times at ABC.com

Searching for Treasure

Treasures

I had an hour to kill between meetings today so I decided to stop by our local flea market. It has been years since I have been to one!

This one is held every weekend and sells everything from tools to chickens. I was ambling down the rows of vendors, just fellow Americans selling their wares. I admit, I passed by most of the items without a glance.
I have no need for baby items, or hardware. Then I saw it!

A book vendor! And it hit me, everything was important to someone. The items I thought were useless to me, at one time had some meaning and purpose in life to someone else. And they would again, brighten someone’s day. They just sat waiting for the right person to stroll by and take them home.

But Books are my life! I have always had a fondness for books. Being very ill when I was young, I spent many, many days lying around reading. I didn’t have the breath to do much more.

But through books I met my best friend, Trixie Belden. And every time I enter a bookstore I look for her. Of course I have the entire series and doubles and triples of some. But I still look. I would hate for Trixie to be left on a dusty shelf with strangers.

So I was rummaging through stacks of old children’s books. That’s what you gotta do, you can’t just LOOK. You have to dig to find treasure! So I moved books here and there, Lassie, the Hardy Boys, but no Trixie.

Although I was disappointed, I did come away with one treasure, The Rifleman. I didn’t even know they HAD books on the old western! I am off to cowboy world next week so I’ll take him with me.
I have always loved going to yard sales, thrift stores, and flea markets. You never know what you will find, but you need to slow down and take a look. Maybe you’ll run across an old friend who has been waiting for you.

For me, books have been an escape. They still are. But now, instead of reading about adventures, I create my own. Life is what we make of it. And if you aren’t happy, pick up a good book and escape.

Santa, come at Noon! Reflections of Christmas

Author Kennesaw Taylor as Santa

Santa, come at Noon! Reflections of Christmas

As my children become older the mood of Christmas changes a bit. No longer do I hear the sound of pattering feet as they run into my room, jump on my bed and scream “Santa Came”.

Instead, I find myself having to wake them up on Christmas morning. Their pleads of “Ten more minutes” rips at my soul.

With Christmas being an extra day off for many, I’m struggling with forgoing old traditions and sleeping in.

Why can’t Santa come at noon?

Think about it. No more frantic sneaking around in the dark. There would be less muttered curses as you try to put together items quietly. You would be more cognitive after having your coffee and breakfast first.

With Santa delivering presents during the day, there would be less broken ornaments, less stubbed toes and less stress. Rudolf could go on vacation; in fact the elves could rig Santa’s Sleigh with Solar power. The possibilities are endless.

For example: My stockings went missing this year. (I’m suspicious that the Grinch stole them) Did I pout? Did I cry? No!  We started a new tradition. Instead of stockings Santa cleverly put everything into a Christmas box. And I got to see the joy and surprise on my children’s faces as I handed them their bottles of Fiji water.

After all Christmas isn’t about Santa. It’s about being with family, and giving, and love. So let those teens sleep in, sip some coffee, read a book and relax! That’s what Christmas is all about.

Special thanks to Kennesaw for his pic!

A Peek into Hell - These Hellish Happenings by Jennifer Rainey

I had scheduled an interview with author Jennifer Rainey but she had to cancel at the last minute. The bearded lady needed more shaving cream so off she went to assist. In her stead we have Jack Bentley from the book These Hellish Happenings. Good thing a copy fell from Jennifer’s purse as she ran out the door!
With much ado I give you Jack.
So Jack, it seems like you have lived a charmed life for a while. When did it all go wrong?
There’s not really one moment where it all went wrong. I mean, there are at least fifty. Thousand. Fifty-thousand is probably a little closer. Making a deal with the Devil tends to mess up one’s existence. Any charmed aspects of my life come in waves, I’ve found. I’ve had my fair share of time on the top of the world, but I’ve also spent a lot of time in the mire, to put it politely.
Being a Vampire sounds cool. What are some of the pros and cons?
It’s rubbish! I can’t actually think of any pros. Living forever is not all it’s cracked up to be, the blood-sucking process is time-consuming and after a few centuries, you get bored with it.  Not only that, living without a pulse makes certain sexual acts incredibly difficult. It’s really not that great. I don’t have any special powers, either. I’m just a guy… who happens to need human blood to live.
Do you ever regret your pact with the devil?
I used to. That was before I actually settled down in Hell. It’s really not that bad, and I can’t believe I’m saying that. Think about your worst day on Earth. Multiply it by no more than three and a half. That’s living on The Administrative Level of Hell. It could certainly be worse. I could be on one of the lower levels cleaning up after Cerberus.
I’ve read about your plight in hell. Sounds a lot like my last job but more colorful. Tell us about your day.
I wake up, go to The Registration Office here in Hell, register the incoming dead and send them to wherever in Hell they’re going to spend eternity. Think St. Peter but with fangs (and, I imagine, better looking).  And I work nine to five, Monday through Friday. The weekend is when I tend to get in trouble, usually with Alex. He tends to gravitate towards trouble.
So Alexander huh? I see you blushing, do tell!
He’s a demon who stalked me for fifty years. Perfect way to start a relationship, wouldn’t you say? Alex, despite the fact that he has terrible taste in music (The Doors? Really?), makes Hell very unhellish for me. And don’t tell him I said that. He’s got an ego through the bloody roof already. I’d never hear the end of it.
Well thanks for stopping in today if you see Jennifer tell her she should be very proud.
No, thank you for getting me out of twenty minutes of my shift!

Interview with Author Melissa Smith

Visit: www.lynnhubbard.com & www.lemonpresspublishing.com

Hello, I’m hosting a Blog Tour for Indie Writers Unite! A new up and coming author will be featured weekly. Thanks for tuning in!

Interview with Author Melissa Smith

What inspires you?
My imagination. My dreams. My kids. I am a wife and mother that simply loves the written word. All the places you get to visit by simply separating some pages. The people you get to live through and love. All the adventures you get to have. The worlds you get to visit and travel.

How long have you been writing?
I've been writing off and on since I was in High school but started writing professionally a little over a year ago.

How many books have you written?
I have three that are currently available with a short story in an anthology that should be out by October 2011. Then I'm working on a novella and another paranormal romance that should be ready to go by late November!

What are the names of your books?
Cloud Nine and Thunderhead are a part of the Guardians of Man series; The Heir Apparent is from the Waiting Throne series

I was looking through Heir Apparent and I love the maps. How difficult was it to create a map from your fantasies?
It was really easy! I could see what the land looked like in my mind so drawing it out was just putting pencil to paper.

Who is your favorite character and why?
So far, I would have to say its Ariana from Cloud Nine. She's just so much fun. The kind of friend you want to have, always.

Who is your target audience?
Everybody who loves a good love story!
I'm teen friendly so everyone can read it.

Is there anything else you want people to know about you or your books?
I just want people to take the chance and open one of my books. I know they'll end up loving them just as much as I loved creating them!
